Doctrine
What I hold to
A doctrine is what a practice defaults to when nobody is watching. These are mine, and they are the reason the work looks the way it does.
-
Judgment, not time
What you pay for is knowing what to do, what to skip, and what will still hold up in a year. An hour spent well beats a week spent busy.
-
Systems over heroics
The late-night rescue feels good and fixes nothing. I would rather spend a week building the thing that keeps it from breaking than a year saving the day.
-
Small by design
I take on fewer clients than I could. That is how the work stays good, and how you get me instead of an assistant.
-
Premium by necessity
Cheap work gets expensive later. I build to the standard that does not need redoing in eighteen months.
-
Calm by intention
Most urgency is manufactured. I move at the pace the work actually needs, which is usually faster than panic.
-
Durable over trendy
Platforms change. Algorithms change. Clear thinking and well-built systems outlast both.
-
Taste, then tools
AI is a tool I use every day. Taste decides what it gets used for, and judgment decides when it is wrong.
On AI
The elephant in the room
You can have AI build a website in an afternoon. It is tempting, it is cheap, and it is everywhere. I see it on the posters, the menus, and the websites all over town.
The easy way has tradeoffs, though. A tool builds from the average of everything it has seen, so the result tends to look and sound like everyone else. If the business is built on craft, the first impression is worth getting right.
Then there is life after launch, and that is true of any website, however it was made. Usually nothing is broken, exactly. A button will not click because something invisible is sitting on top of it. A form looks fine, but the emails never arrive. A page quietly slips out of Google. Small things, but somebody has to notice them and know where to look.
I use AI every day, and I build AI systems for clients. I trust it the way a chef trusts a sharp knife: completely, in the right hands. What you get from me is a local professional with a track record, who insists on tasteful work and is on your side when something needs fixing.

The name remains.
The craft evolves.
The standard stays.
FAQ
Questions Worth Asking
Why the name “Vida Tigris”?
Vida is Spanish for life. Tigris is Latin for tiger, my spirit animal, and also the river that was believed to flow from the Garden of Eden. The Garden is the symbol for all things being right and in balance. The good life. Moving toward that and staying in it is the Vida in Vida Tigris. Life on the Tigris.
Why the keyhole?
It stands for the next opportunity, the one you can peek through to see what is beyond. Keep looking long enough and it stops being a keyhole and becomes where you are, until you go looking for the next one. The empty center is the unknown, the source of all things. That part comes from Taoism.
Is Vida Tigris just you?
Yes. One person. You talk to me, and I am the one doing the work. The About page covers what happens if I get hit by a bus.
What does “small by design” mean?
I take on fewer clients than I could, on purpose. It is how the work stays good.
Judge the work, not the pitch
